If your watch has a screw-down crown, understand how it functions. The crown must always be properly screwed down after setting the time or date. Failure to secure the crown correctly can allow water or moisture to enter the watch, potentially causing costly damage. Additionally, forcing the crown or operating the watch with the crown partially unscrewed may damage the crown or stem assembly.
