Aeschbach 46mm WWII Limited Edition XL Format Luftwaffe Pattern Military Aviators Watch with Sapphire Crystal (Copy)

SKU Code: AESCHBACH/AVI/2

This AESCHBACH Ltd Edition Classic Aviator Watch is one of our authentic WWII-pattern Pilot Watch models, designed to honor the timeless aesthetics of military timepieces from the 1940s and 1950s.

The Classic Aviator Range is inspired by vintage military watch designs. While some models feature a subsidiary seconds hand at the 6 o’clock position—a hallmark of the 1940s—this model includes a sweep seconds hand, which became a popular replacement for subsidiary dials around 1943. This variety allows you to select a design that reflects your individual preferences.

The watch’s imposing 46mm case diameter (excluding the crown) ensures a commanding wrist presence. The large dial size makes it extremely legible, both day and night, echoing the functional design of original WWII pilot watches.

This model is powered by a reliable NH35A 24-jewel automatic mechanical movement, providing a 41-hour power reserve when fully wound. The clear caseback allows a fascinating view of the intricate movement inside.

For historical reference, this watch takes inspiration from WWII German Luftwaffe watches.

Why Sapphire Crystal?

Sapphire crystal is a superior choice for watch durability and clarity:

• Strength & Scratch Resistance: Sapphire is incredibly durable, making it highly resistant to scratches and shattering. This is especially appealing for military personnel, security professionals, police officers, and outdoor enthusiasts—who comprise over 70% of our customer base.
• Accident Resistance: More than 90% of cracked watch crystals involve mineral glass. Even hardened mineral crystals don’t match the durability of sapphire under challenging conditions.
• Enhanced Manufacturing: Heat-treated sapphire glass undergoes stress removal for added strength. Each piece is coated with two layers of anti-reflective treatment to maximize visibility.

Though sapphire crystal adds to the cost, its unparalleled durability and clarity make it a hallmark of premium watches. Its use in cutting-edge devices like the latest iPhone demonstrates its exceptional qualities.

This AESCHBACH Classic Aviator Watch combines historical authenticity, modern engineering, and unmatched durability, making it a must-have for collectors and watch enthusiasts alike.
